2017 Commencement Ceremony The Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School of Addiction Studies will host the 2017 Commencement Ceremony on Friday, August 25, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. Commencement Location Cork Center Cork Gymnasium 15251 Pleasant Valley Road Center City, MN 55012 Graduate Participation Students eligible to participate in commencement will receive an email three weeks prior to the end of your final semester containing a Commencement Ceremony Survey. The survey will ask you to indicate your planned participation in commencement activities. Mandatory Rehearsal for Graduates A rehearsal is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. in the Cork Gymnasium the morning of commencement. All graduates must attend rehearsal in order to participate in the ceremony later that day. The Ceremony Guests should arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony begins to secure seating. Following the ceremony, guests and graduates are invited to a cake and punch reception in the Scandling Atrium. Tickets Each graduate is provided six tickets to distribute to family and friends. Tickets are required to attend the ceremony. Programs Programs listing the names and degrees of graduates will be available. Photographer A photographer will photograph all graduates as they receive their diploma. Instructions for purchasing photos are emailed one week after the ceremony. Other photography with family and friends is permitted only in Cork 117 and the Cork Gymnasium due to Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation patient confidentiality policies. Cap and Gown The ordering of regalia and tassels is facilitated by the Graduate School as a service for graduates. Measurements are asked for in the Commencement Ceremony Survey sent to all graduates. Diploma and Cover Diplomas are mailed by the registrar 60-90 days after the date of degree completion. Graduates who participate in the commencement ceremony will also receive a commemorative diploma cover at the ceremony.
