Get an insider's view into the process of evidence-based, Twelve Step addiction treatment and recovery through our intensive, five-day Professionals in Residence program.

By shadowing clinical staff and treatment patients, you will come away with a deeper understanding of addiction as a disease, as well as the tools, knowledge and insight you can use to effectively respond to its challenges. Your week will include:
  • Classroom instruction
  • Clinical observation
  • Integration into patient life

Whether you are a health care provider, mental health provider, social worker, criminal justice professional, school counselor or other caring professional, the Professionals in Residence program empowers you to recognize and respond to the challenges of addiction. Gain insight and awareness to become an effective advocate for those who need help. Typical lecture topics include:
  • The Disease of Addiction
  • Twelve Step Facilitation
  • Co-Occurring Disorders
  • Neurobiology of Addiction
  • Spirituality and Recovery
