Inspiration in your inbox

Better Together

The Power of We

True confession. I have 4,263 unopened emails on my phone. That's because I only open messages from people I know and organizations I trust. Meanwhile, the other emails accumulate, unopened, until I find time to sort and delete en masse.

My confession comes with a question for you: Do you open your monthly Better Together emails from me? If not, I'd love to hear why. It's okay. Be honest. I can take it. If you do read the newsletter, how can we make it better?

Recently we sent out a survey to get your feedback and input on Better Together and general communications. If you completed the survey, thank you! Watch this month's video to hear about the three changes we've made as a result of the feedback you provided.

If you didn't have a chance to complete the survey, there's still time. Take the survey now and share your thoughts. For nine months now, Better Together has been our primary way of communicating with you. We'd like to know how it's working for you. Too much content? Too little? Not the right content?

The survey should take less than five minutes of your time--but it will greatly inform our editorial content and Alumni Relations efforts. Our goal is to put a little recovery inspiration into your inbox each month. We hope you will tell us if we're hitting the mark. Thanks for helping to set our direction!

Your Friend and Fellow Traveler,

P.S. Need a little real-life recovery inspiration? Join us soon. It's not too late to sign up for our October 21-22 Naples Alumni Reunion Weekend, our Minnesota Recovery Speaker Series, or our November 4-6 Betty Ford Center Alumni Anniversary Weekend. Hope to see you there!

Better Together - Your input in action

Nell Hurley, executive director of National Alumni Relations for the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation thanks alumni for providing input during a recent survey and explains the three immediate enhancements they can expect to see starting in October. Learn all about the enhancements by watching the video and checking out the October issue of Better Together.
