Kevin Chandler, Director, Legal Professionals Program
Kevin Chandler, JD, LADC, is an attorney with experience in addiction recovery, public policy, and community activism, as well as a board certified addiction counselor. Prior to joining the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, Chandler worked in the law firm of Lockridge Grindal Nauen, focusing on complex antitrust and securities litigation. Long active in public policy, his political career includes serving as majority whip in the Minnesota State Senate; counsel to the U.S. House Subcommittee on Telecommunications, Consumer Protection and Finance; and as manager/communications director for several national-level campaigns. During his career, Chandler also served as president and CEO of a major trade association; an adjunct professor at Hamline University; and senior counsel to the global PR firm, Weber Shandwick. He currently serves on the board of Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers and is the author of The Lawyer’s Light, a book of daily meditations for attorneys.
