Family Support

Families in Recovery group provides help and support

Addiction is called "a family disease" for good reason. Families are in pain. By the time most families reach out for help, the disease has progressed to a crisis level.

Families tend to cope with the stress of addiction in unhealthy ways—denial, blame, preoccupation. And it's easy to lose your sense of self in the process.

Our counselor-facilitated Families in Recovery group helps you:
  • learn about the disease of addiction
  • recognize how you've been affected
  • work through the chaos you've experienced
  • understand how to set healthy boundaries
  • rebuild trusting relationships
The group meets on Saturday mornings, and families are welcome to participate as often as you would like. We also host an Alanon meeting on Wednesdays, 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Teen Intervene

Is it time to take a closer look?

Maybe your son or daughter was caught drinking with other underage friends. Or admitted to smoking marijuana when questioned about slipping grades. It might not be addiction, but some type of intervention is needed.

Our Teen Intervene program:
  • helps young people identify the reasons for and effects of their substance use
  • provides teens with a personalized course of action for making healthier choices
  • offers education, support, and guidance for parents
Teens work one-on-one with a counselor for three sessions; parents are involved in one session, as clinically determined.
