Structured Sober Living in Chicago, IL

Hazelden's Sober Living facility in Chicago provides a structured, safe, and sober living environment for men and women in early recovery from alcohol or other drug addiction.

The residence houses up to 13 men and up to 11 women. Two to three people share a room and a bath.

Amenities include a family room with a television, refrigerator, and microwave oven.

Residents are given access to a business center with internet-ready computers, a daily continental breakfast, and a weekly community meal.

Expectations of residents
  • Remaining abstinent from all mood-altering substances
  • Attending four or more Twelve Step meetings a week
  • Having a sponsor
  • Doing service work
  • Attending weekly community meetings
  • Meeting with a coach/counselor regularly
  • Working, going to school, or volunteering full-time
Eligibility requirements
  • Medical and psychiatric stability
  • A 3-month (minimum) stay
