The fact that you're pondering this question suggests that you have concerns about your substance use or mental health challenges. Have you started to notice negative consequences of alcohol or drug use in your relationships, or at work, or in your ability to cope with stress?
These are common signs that substance use could be affecting your health, well-being or quality of life—and that you could possibly benefit from treatment.
To get a better sense of your situation, reach out to Hazelden Betty Ford. You can speak confidentially and at no cost with one of our care navigators. They will help assess what's going on, explain the different types of programs and services we offer in Minnesota, and discuss next steps, including admission to outpatient or inpatient treatment, if appropriate.
If a teenager in your life is showing signs of drinking, vaping or other drug use, ask our care navigators about our Teen Intervene option. It's a three-session screening and brief intervention program designed to give teens insight into their unhealthy choices around substance use. Teen Intervene also provides parents with education, support and guidance to better understand what's going on and what's at stake.
You can also ask our care navigators for specific information about our outpatient programs in Maple Grove, including:
- Group processing and therapy
- Individual therapy
- Educational presentations on addiction as a disease (the condition is sometimes referred to as "chemical dependency" or "substance abuse"), recovery principles, relapse prevention and other key concepts
- Integrated mental health services
- Special-focus groups based on your specific situation, challenges and needs
- Twelve Step principles and practices
The schedule and pace of outpatient treatment at Hazelden Betty Ford is personalized for each patient. For example, your care plan could start out with outpatient treatment sessions as frequently as four days a week. Then, as you reach specific rehab milestones, sessions would gradually transition to once a week.
