Bio
Lydia Burr is a graduate of the Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School of Addiction Studies and has been with Hazelden Betty Ford since 2011. She spent seven years as a focal therapist and manager of addiction programs at the Center City campus, followed by six years as director of operations for Minnesota and Wisconsin outpatient services. In that role, Burr completed a dual-degree program at Hamline University, earning both a Master of Nonprofit Management and a Master of Business Administration. She now serves as executive director of the Youth Continuum.
Burr’s career as both a counselor and organizational leader has spanned multiple levels of care, including short-term and long-term residential treatment, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services. In her current role as executive director, she oversees operations and strategic direction for Hazelden Betty Ford’s Plymouth site, as well as the Chaska and Maple Grove outpatient locations. Lydia has played a key role in developing and implementing the organization’s standardized Co-occurring Capable Curriculum and has led major initiatives in design, communication, and change management for the NetSmart Electronic Medical Record system. Beyond her leadership responsibilities, she represents Hazelden Betty Ford through media interviews, public speaking engagements and advocacy efforts.
