Intensive Outpatient Treatment Based on your specific situation, clinicians at the Betty Ford Center will recommend a level and frequency of addiction treatment to best meet your situation, needs and lifestyle. The intensive outpatient program (IOP) at our San Diego treatment center meets three to four days a week for three hours a day (9-12 hours week). Programming takes place Monday-Thursday. Three weekday IOP schedules are available for adults to choose from: Either 8-11 a.m., noon-3 p.m. or 6-9 p.m. Outpatient Rehab Outpatient programs at the Betty Ford Center in San Diego are similar to our IOP level of care, with the difference being a reduced frequency of programming. Our outpatient rehab sessions meet one to two days a week for three hours a day (for a total of 3-6 hours weekly) from noon to 3 p.m. or 6 to 9 p.m. And for people needing a less intense program or for those learning to manage their recovery more on their own, a once a week group is offered on Tuesday from 6-7 p.m. Telehealth and Virtual Services RecoveryGo, Hazelden Betty Ford's full-line of virtual behavioral health services, brings our world-class outpatient addiction and mental health care, recovery support resources and family services directly to you. Mental health services are available Monday through Thursday by appointment and include individual, couples and family counseling. Intervention Workshop When you see a loved one choose alcohol or other drugs above all else, you might begin to lose sight of the person you once knew. But the person you love is still there. The problem is that the disease of addiction has taken hold, and individuals who are actively addicted to alcohol or other drugs are often the last to realize they need help. If you are concerned about a loved one’s alcohol or drug use, come to our outpatient addiction treatment center in San Diego to learn how an intervention could help guide your loved one into treatment. Our recovery experts offer an intervention education seminar for adults every Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to noon. This seminar is free to the public and includes educational materials about the signs and symptoms of substance abuse as well as what’s involved in planning and conducting a successful intervention. If you or a loved one are struggling with substance abuse, contact us or call 1-866-831-5700 to speak with a recovery expert for help. Family Support Drug addiction affects the entire family, and helping all family members find healing and hope is an important part of what we do. Our San Diego treatment center offers a free workshop for family members of those in our outpatient treatment programs. This workshop is held every Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. Recovery Management Most people who struggle with addiction to alcohol or other drugs benefit from continuing care and support—after rehab—to strengthen skills that build lasting recovery.
