Not sure what to expect when you enter alcohol or drug addiction treatment? At the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, you will be warmly welcomed, treated with dignity and respect, and cared for by addiction experts in a safe and comfortable environment. If inpatient treatment is recommended: An intake specialist will meet with you to go over necessary paperwork. Because we are a health care provider, your treatment is a confidential matter. If you would like us to communicate with family members or professionals, we will need to get signed consent forms. Without them, we can neither confirm nor deny your presence in our program. Once the intake paperwork is completed, our staff will orient you to the facility and get you settled in. You may spend your first night on our medical detox unit, just to make sure you're comfortable and medically stable. From there you'll join your peers on one of our residential treatment units. Over the course of the next few days, you will meet with a variety of licensed professionals and care providers who, together, will design your individualized treatment plan. If an outpatient treatment program is recommended: You will complete similar intake paperwork. Then you will receive a personalized program schedule, and our staff will orient you to the facility. If you are moving into one of our structured sober living facilities: You will meet with staff to complete initial paperwork, receive your room assignment, and discuss any questions or concerns you may have.
