For nearly half a century, the Betty Ford Center has been a leader in addiction treatment. With the help of generous supporters, we are now transforming our campus so we can transform more lives. The transformation will expand our capacity by 30% and improve accessibility, so that more individuals and families can discover healing and hope — and a path to recovery — at the Betty Ford Center. Patients and visitors will find the Betty Ford Center easier to find and ready to welcome even more travelers along the path to recovery. A new road and public entrance will welcome fellow travelers and guests with warmth and caring. Along with a new entrance comes a new address for the Betty Ford Center, a tribute to Betty Ford's sobriety date. Our new Day Treatment Pavilion will bring Intensive Outpatient Program patients onto campus, so they have access to the resources and supportive environment of the Betty Ford Center. The pavilion will have 56 beds, available for patients who choose to pay for room and board while accessing outpatient services. This will allow patients to take advantage of outpatient services covered by their insurance, while remaining in a supportive environment — shown to improve long-term recovery. The new Day Treatment Pavilion will also include an auditorium, creating space for large gatherings on campus. Our current 4 single-story inpatient housing buildings will be replaced by two 2-story buildings. These residences will be comprised of 3-person rooms — shown to be best for recovery. They will be modern and ADA-compliant, with breathtaking views of the San Jacinto mountains. Patients will be able to enjoy beautiful outdoor spaces on campus, such as a Healing Garden, a walking trail and a children's playground. The campus will additionally be transformed by landscaping that will add to the beautiful campus environment, featuring indigenous plants and trees. With friends and loyal supporters, we are embarking on a new era of treatment and recovery for more people struggling with substance use disorders. We hope you will join us on this transformative journey! To learn about how you can get involved in the Betty Ford Center's transformation, please reach out to Esperanza Evans.
