Long-time faculty member, former regional medical director for the Foundation and staff psychiatrist at the Center City campus, Dr. Delisi was appointed assistant dean in November, 2016. Students have known him for years as the professor who demystifies neuroscience. "The best moments," he says, "are when a student tells me, 'I was so scared of this course, but now I feel like I understand the science behind addiction.'" In his new role, while continuing to teach and see patients, he also oversees the faculty and is part of the leadership team. If you haven't had a chance to meet Dr. Delisi, stop by his office in the Cork Center on the Center City campus and say hello. "I'm proud to be part of this premier graduate program, excelling at preparing the next generation of counselors to integrate the treatment of addiction and co-occurring disorders."
